The “Of Hills and Water Route” is a public art circuit that highlights the historical, cultural and natural heritage of the seven municipalities of the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais. Artists from the region have been asked to create these sculptures, which represent the important history of each community, as it is linked to water, the unifying theme of the route. Visitors are invited to travel throughout the territory to discover these permanent public pieces that are the pride of the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais’ communities.
The “Of Hills and Water Route” is led by the Centre local de développement (CLD) des Collines-de-l’Outaouais. This is made possible thanks to the financial support of the Government of Quebec and the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais within the Cultural Development Agreement. The project has also benefited from the financial support of "l’Entente spécifique pour le développement de la culture en Outaouais" as part of its heritage component. Tourisme Outaouais and the seven municipalities of the MRC are also financial partners for this project.
